A Legacy of Faith
Colleyville Presbyterian Church began in the early 1970s when a group of Christian men and women began to meet and pray for a new church in the growing area between Dallas and Fort Worth. In 1979, the congregation began to worship in its present location and adopted the name “Colleyville Presbyterian Church.”
Over the past four decades, Colleyville Presbyterian has been a faithful witness in the Mid-Cities area, loving and serving those who have come through its doors with the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of Colleyville’s most visible legacies is the founding of Covenant Christian Academy. Covenant began as a official ministry of Colleyville Presbyterian Church, and has grown to be one of the most prominent classical schools in the state of Texas, with over 600 students. Though the church and school are no longer officially connected, they are happy neighbors with one another on Cheek Sparger Road.
For the first thirty-eight years of its life as a church, Colleyville Presbyterian Church was blessed to be led and served by Pastor Dale Smith. Pastor Smith retired in 2014, and he and his wife Anne continue to worship in the congregation to this day. Colleyville’s second senior pastor, Josh Anderson, began his ministry in August of 2014.
